I love that ideas, inspiration, memory, fragments, and ahas push through skin and bone to come alive through lines and curves, made of ink and graphite. I love that they come alive through key strokes constellating a unique combination of ones and zeros.
I love that these words can increase our heart beat, deepen our breath, make us bravely step onto the path that we’ve been sitting back and eyeing for much too long.
I love the classes, the books, the products, the coaching that brought me confidence, clarity, direction. That brought me hope and possibility.
Beautiful gifts I wouldn’t have let into my life if it wasn’t for good copy fertilizing a taproot that I didn’t know was there.
I believe that copywriting is something that can be used for good. For heart warriors wanting to create a better world for themselves and those, they are called to serve.
I believe that good copy translates what the person across from you feels when you describe the work that lights you up.
I believe in the beautiful power of this time we live in to connect us and to pave a new path for ourselves. It’s a time to rise up against limiting ideas of what work, education, money making and art have to look like. It’s a time that invites us to envision new possibilities of how to spend this one and only life we have.
I believe that the right words bring this potential to form.
I believe that the right words are a battle cry. They are a howl from your deepest self. They are a poem that beats with the rise and fall of your breath.
The right words make us feel, believe, and become.Click To TweetThe right words, when used to make you money, validate your creativity, your enoughness, your beautiful rebellion. This is the copy that’s not salesy, sleazy or manipulative. It’s the copy that validates the aliveness in the other person, it validates the aliveness in you. Money is just energy anyway, and the right words get it flowing.
I’m committed to writing words that I believe in. I’m committed to using copy that spreads abundance. I’m committed to helping you get your work noticed.
Because the truth of the matter is all that creativity, intention, and fierce drive bubbling in you, that’s the real magic. And I’m committed to making sure that your magic creates a chain reaction that lights up the magic in others. Because when that happens together we can light up the world.
Your manifesto, I think, highlights the type of work that will be protected (and even more highly valued, perhaps even treasured) as technology continues to automate so many of the jobs that exist today.
Hi Peter, I so appreciate your comment. Thank you! Also, what you say is so important–As technology continues to automate jobs and take the humanness out of the online space, focusing on more person to person connection online is important and necessary. Thanks for stopping by and taking time out of your day to write.
I so enjoyed reading this. Today is back to work day for me after a lovely long summer holiday. Yesterday I was thinking about how much I have enjoyed my holiday – the first long one in my new home. I was also thinking about how I am looking forward to going back to work because I am blessed with really loving what I do (I’m a teacher).Your manifesto helped me realise more how much I enjoy my work and how much it is a part of who I am. Thank you. I think I’ll have a of at writing one, you have inspired me.
Vicki, It’s so wonderful that you love your work. Your inspiration is inspiring. I think it says a lot when you’re excited to get back to your job after a break. I had a kind of similar experience when the lottery was really high here. As I held my ticket, I thought to myself, “If I won, I would keep doing this work.” I didn’t win but so grateful I had that realization. Cheers to you on the new school year!
YES!!!!! I love it, Jackie! I hope this manifesto attracts some heart-centered entrepreneurs to your business. xo
